Research

The research team at E-Poll Market Research is responsible for the design and implementation of custom and syndicated market research solutions.

  • Research Intern - LA

    E-Poll is currently seeking a smart, well-rounded college student looking to gain valuable experience in a variety of disciplines. The successful candidate will be someone with a positive attitude and an impeccable work ethic who is interested in learning about market research, the entertainment industry and business.

    You'll be introduced to break-through technologies that are changing the way Marketing Research is done. You will assist our Marketing Research professionals and help us explore consumer behavior as we assist our clients in making important marketing decisions. You'll also be introduced to break-through technologies that will be of value to you wherever your career takes you. Engineering

The engineering team at E-Poll Market Research is responsible for the development and maintenance of our suite of web applications, working with the latest technologies in a friendly, relaxed but professional environment.

  • Frontend Software Engineer - LA

    As a Frontend Software Engineer at E-Poll Market Research, you'll work as a member of our technology team to develop, test, and maintain our suite of web applications. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with senior backend and frontend software engineers and participate in all aspects of the software development project lifecycle. We're looking for people that are passionate about building great products and that are excited to work with the latest web technologies.

    Requirements:

    - BS in Computer Science, 1-3 years experience highly desirable
    - Proficiency in Javascript, HTML, CSS, JSP & Java
    - Thorough understanding and command of the DOM
    - Demonstrable solid understanding of Object-Oriented concepts and architecture
    - Must be proactive and enjoy keeping up with the latest trends in the field (HTML5, CSS3, mobile web)
    - Proficiency and comfort in a Unix-oriented environment (we use OS X and Linux extensively)

    Major pluses are experience with the Spring Framework, Photoshop, the ExtJS libraries, MVC frameworks, and source code control systems.

  • Senior Software Engineer - LA

    As a Senior Software Engineer at E-Poll Market Research, you'll work as a member of our engineering team to develop, test, and maintain our suite of in-house, proprietary online tools. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with senior staff to translate business requirements into real-world solutions. We're looking for people that are passionate about building great products and that are excited to work with the latest web technologies.

    Requirements:

    - BS in Computer Science and 5+ years of relevant work experience developing in Java
    - Thorough understanding of the webapp development process, from design to deployment
    - Experience with IOC/POJO-based frameworks (preferably Spring)
    - Experience with ORM frameworks (preferably Hibernate)
    - Proficiency with core SQL and database design
    - Proficiency and experience in a Unix-oriented environment (we use OS X and Linux extensively)
    - Good understanding of how to utilize source code control systems

    Major pluses are experience with AJAX, unit testing with JUnit, JSP/JSTL, and/or XML/XSLT programming. Candidates will be expected to be knowledgeable about current industry trends and how they relate to software development today.

Sales

  • Vice President, Sales - LA

    E-Poll Market Research, a dynamic market research company offering product and custom solutions to entertainment and media clients, is seeking a Vice President, Sales.

    The company has grown and evolved into a leading provider of syndicated products such as E-Score Celebrity and is creating a new position to help manage our team. We need an experienced sales manager to grow, train and lead our sales force, while also developing additional client relationships and helping sell our custom and product solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    This position will report to the SVP of Corporate Development and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the sales team. While each salesperson is expected to prospect and generate new business selling E-Poll's full line of products and solutions, the VP of Sales will manage sales team progress including monitoring sales activity to deliver sales goals set by SVP Corporate Development. Additionally, the VP of Sales will be responsible for individual new business development and specific sales quotas selling E-Poll's research products and services.

    Additional responsibilities:

    - Oversee a team of direct reports in identifying, prospecting, proposing and closing business.
    - Direct daily activities of sales team including communication, proposals, negotiation, hiring, training, development and performance reviews.
    - Weekly/Monthly reporting of sales team activity, progress and productivity to SVP Corporate Development.
    - Work closely with the Marketing and Research teams to create and disseminate the appropriate sales materials to lure new clients and verticals into the fold.

    Requirements:

    The candidate MUST have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5-7 years sales team management experience in entertainment and media with a research vendor that sells products and custom. CPG experience a plus. Must demonstrate solid sales management experience with a demonstrated and verifiable track record. The candidate will have a strong research product sales background and have sold custom research solutions.

    Additional qualifications include excellent managerial, motivational and organizational skills with attention to detail; strong oral and written communication skills. The right candidate for this position must be proactive with hands-on management of day-to-day sales team productivity.

    Must be proficient in Salesforce, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    The position will be based in the company's Encino, CA office and will include generous compensation package including salary, commission, and bonus. Benefits include matching 401-k, flexible health plan and cafeteria plan options.

  • Senior Sales Executive, Research Product Sales - LA

    E-Poll Market Research is setting the standard in media research.

    Our products are used by global media companies, entertainment leaders, and brand managers and provide comprehensive insights on celebrities, brands, licensed characters, music, television programs and more.

    We are looking for an experienced, hunter-type sales executive to sell our sophisticated suite of E-Score research products designed to work together so the client can access the complete picture.

    You will establish new business within our core markets and target new industry verticals. Your success will be determined not only by your ability to bring new clients into the fold, but to cross promote and up sell other complimentary products from our portfolio. Compensation is commensurate with experience and performance which includes a generous commission and benefits package.

    Requirements:

    At least 2 years research sales experience and proof of past sales success to new clients, solid communication skills, understanding of our products, and demonstrated ability to close.

    You must be an engaging self-starter that takes initiative as you will be charged with the full cycle of identifying, developing and closing new business.

    Comfortable dealing with C-Level research & marketing decision-makers required. Current relationships are a plus.
