Research

The research team at E-Poll Market Research is responsible for the design and implementation of custom and syndicated market research solutions.

We care deeply about our work and are dedicated to providing our clients with quality data and insights that are meaningful to their business.

Engineering

The engineering team at E-Poll Market Research is responsible for the development and maintenance of our suite of web applications, working with the latest technologies in a friendly, relaxed but professional environment.

  • Full Stack Developer - LA

    As a Full Stack Developer at E-Poll Market Research, you'll work as a member of our close-knit technology team to develop and maintain our suite of proprietary online applications. We are a small team who prizes efficiency, collaboration, and mutual respect.

    Challenges include finding ways to efficiently analyze and utilize a massive data set collected over a decade and spanning billions of records, helping to visualize these data in an industry-leading user interface, and evaluating and integrating the latest web technologies to keep us at the forefront of online research. Our team works cross-departmentally to translate business requirements into real-world solutions.

    Requirements:

    - 5+ years of work experience in software development, writing both front and backend software
    - Expert understanding of Java and OO concepts, architecture, and design
    - Expert understanding of responsive design and web tier technologies such as Bootstrap, JSP, HTML/CSS, JSON, etc.
    - Experience with the Spring Framework or other IOC/POJO-based frameworks
    - Experience with Hibernate or other ORM frameworks
    - Proficiency in core SQL and database design
    - Proficiency in a Unix-oriented environment (we use OS X and Linux extensively)
    - Proficiency with source code control systems and unit testing with JUnit

    This is a full-time position located in our Encino, CA office. It is not suitable for telecommuting, contract, or offsite work.

Sales

  • Sales Representative, Research Products - LA & NY

    We are a research provider to the entertainment, media and advertising sectors. As a Product Sales Representative, you will establish new business in our core markets by selling our suite of SaaS-based E-Score products that work in concert with each other. In this role, you must identify and cold call new client prospects, persuasively convey why our products are valuable to the prospect, negotiate, and close new business. A working knowledge of the media, advertising and TV landscape is critical to achieve success in this position, along with a passion for identifying and listening to client needs, and demonstrating how you can service those needs.

    Your success will be determined purely by your ability to bring new clients into the fold, and to up-sell other complementary products from our portfolio.

    Compensation is heavily commission based and is commensurate with experience and performance which includes a benefits package. There are many opportunities to develop and grow within the company as this product sector expands.

    Requirements:

    Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience in media sales, advertising, marketing or research with natural sales ability. Solid verbal and written communication skills along with ability to take initiative and be a self-starter are essential for this role as you will be working with C-Level research & marketing decision-makers.

    E-Poll Market Research's E-Score products deliver unique insights on celebrities, brands, licensed characters, music and television programs and are used by digital media & entertainment companies, advertisers, brand managers and more. Specific products in the portfolio include E-Score Celebrity, E-Score Brand, E-Score Character, E-Score Programs and E-Score Music.

  • Marketing Manager - Member Acquisition / Social Media - LA

    Job Description:
    For two decades, E-Poll Market Research has been a trusted partner for major entertainment and advertising clients with insights that drive their businesses forward. The unique value proposition we provide our top-tier clients is a proprietary panel of online survey respondents that they can access anytime, anywhere.

    E-Poll seeks a Manager - Member Acquisition / Social Media Marketing for our Los Angeles-area office. This crucial position will identify, cultivate and manage new and existing sources of membership for this survey panel, with an emphasis on social media, online marketing, and other partners. Position will manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including: develop relevant content topics to reach the company's target customers; create, curate, and manage all published content; monitor, listen and respond to users in a "Social" way while cultivating sources of membership.

    Requirements:
    Successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree and professional background in acquisition and/or retention marketing, including proven success in customer acquisition through social media. Strong negotiating skills, creativity and initiative will also be critical to this position. Interest in media, entertainment and pop culture is a must.

  • Paid Marketing / Graphic Design Intern - LA

    E-Poll Market Research is a consumer market research firm with a strong focus on serving clients within the entertainment and media industries. We are looking for a sharp, energetic, creative intern for our marketing department with strong communication and graphic design skills.

    Job Qualifications: The successful candidate will be someone with a positive attitude and good, well-rounded written and verbal communications skills who is interested in learning about market research, the entertainment industry and various marketing disciplines. Experience in graphic design, including basic understanding of HTML, image editing programs and familiarity with Excel and other business software is desired. Interest in media, entertainment and pop culture is a must.

    Job Description: You will gain hands on experience involving all aspects of B2B/B2C marketing and PR. Possible responsibilities include: working on our social media outreach (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), crafting internal and client communications and supporting our customer acquisition efforts.
